NEPSE hit negative circuit to close at 1201.58 index; recorded lowest ever transaction of mere Rs 36.13 lacs.
After the halt of 50 days due to Covid-19 pandemic all over the world, market was opened only for two days (12 & 13, May) amid this whole longer lockdown period.  On the 2nd trading day, NEPSE again plunges by 2% circuit level (which is maximum levels as prescribed by Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to close at 1201.58 index, whereas, total turnover stood only Rs 36.13 lacs. Hence, trading in NEPSE suspended for the rest of the day at 11:39 AM. NEPSE was last traded at 1251.45 index on 22nd March, 2020 before the lockdown time.
