I am Dipendra Karki, the author of this site. This site is much more than just a site that offer hot tips and magic formulas about investing. One of the main purposes of this site is to offer you the opportunity to gain a different point of view on the subject of investing. It will try to relate the academic theories to the real and practical world of investment. The perspective of both academics & the field level investors will equally be taken care and blended to develop new acumen. 

My thoughts on sharing the ideas & knowledge through my own domain begins with my research work while pursuing an academic degree major in finance from Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) in 2013, though my journey in investment was already started in early 2000.

Initially, I was from science background major in Physics. In early 2000, the multinational JV company where I was working issued the limited shares for employees at par. I was about to ignore and miss the subscription but the continuous enforcement of my co-workers (from different streams) made me subscribe those stocks allotted in my part. Unbelievably, that investment turned to be quite precious and contributed significantly to acquire a piece of real estate in my hometown in 2006. This event turned me to think the investment rather differently. I joined academics major in Finance & Economics to gain better insights and keep my investment journey go and going. 

I realized that when it came to investing, theories and practices do not always align as we think. The difference between academic & investor also move far deeper than merely how much money each man had to invest.
